1971 Canada BC Specimen Silver Dollar in Folder (Impaired)
The 1971 Canada BC Specimen Silver Dollar commemorates the 100th anniversary of British Columbia’s entry into Confederation. The coin features the provincial coat of arms at its center, supported by a wapiti stag and a bighorn sheep. This was Canada's first dollar coin struck in silver (.500) and was also the first dollar made exclusively for collectors, with no coins released for circulation. Weighing 23.33 grams and with a diameter of 36.07 mm, the coin is encapsulated, showing scratches on the capsule and is toned around the edges. It comes with two info cards—one explaining the founding of British Columbia and the other listing the coin's specifications. The coin is housed in a folder for easy presentation.
