• 1995 325th Anniversary of the Hudson's Bay Company. The reverse depicts Medard Chouart and Pierre-Esprit Radisson, pioneers of the company and explorers. Behind them is the ship Nonsuch, which brought traders to the shores of Hudson's Bay.
• 1996 200th Anniversary of the McIntosh Apple. Discovered by John McIntosh, this apple went from a local favourite to a staple in every grocery store across North America. The reverse features a McIntosh apple and orchard, with a banner naming it above.
• 1997 25th Anniversary of Canada/Russia Hockey Victory. In 1972, Canada faced Russia, then a part of the USSR, in a history-defining game. From losing to being tied 5-5, Canadian player Paul Henderson scored the winning goal, sending the team to victory. The reverse depicts three players celebrating in front of the Russian net and goalie.
• 1998 125th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Established in May 1873, the North-West Mounted Police were established to uphold law and order in the western frontier. The reverse depicts a RCMP officer on horseback with the dates to the left. The coin appears to be stuck in its case.
• 1999 225th Anniversary of the Voyage of Juan Perez. In 1774, Spanish explorer Juan Perez set out from California with the intention of claiming as much land as he could along the northern coast. It was then that Perez discovered the Haida Gwaii, or Queen Charlotte Islands. Though prevented from landing due to bad weather, they were able to trade with the Haida who inhabited the land. The reverse depicts Perez' ship, the Santiago, and a Haida canoe along the coast of Haida Gwaii.
