Back Design: Lathework and "redeemable on presentation at Montreal, Toronto, or St. John"
Variety: This issue carried no serial numbers but had series letters which are immediately below the 1870 of the left hand date on the face of the note. The letter "B" below the left date shows considerable variation. On each sheet of ten notes, six notes present a large B and four notes a small B.
