Beautiful red and/or green posters boldly advertised phrases such as "Delicious and Refreshing," "Drink Coca-Cola® in Bottles" and "5 cents, Sold Everywhere." The iconic contoured bottle made its debut in 1916 in response to competitors imitating their product designs and labels. The distinctive green glass contoured bottle not only stood out from competitors, but also served as a protective measure for the brand.
