The Royal Canadian Mint's pure gold ode to peace has a new look. Order today!
Marking a departure from the close-up view of previous Peace Dollar designs, the new reverse by retired Senior Engraver Susan Taylor presents a full-body portrait of Lady Peace, seen standing on a shoreline. The allegorical figure is supported by maple leaves, while maple leaf-shaped rays break through the clouds above – a unique combination of images that, together, convey a rousing expression of hope for peace, now and always.
Lady Peace, standing tall and proud in 99.99% pure gold.
A recurring image on the 2025 Peace Dollar’s reverse, the maple leaf is Canada’s most distinct national symbol. The maple leaf on our national flag turns 60 in 2025: it was on February 15, 1965, that the red-and-white Flag of Canada was hoisted for the first time.
The reverse design by retired RCM Senior Engraver Susan Taylor features a full-body portrait of Lady Peace, a personification of Peace (“PAX”). Inspired by the allegorical figure atop the National War Memorial in Ottawa, Lady Peace is dressed in a flowing robe and crowned with a wreath of maple leaves and olive branches expressing a core Canadian value of peace. Her serene countenance exudes poise, strength and quiet confidence as she extends her right arm, almost as if the peace wreath she holds is an offering to all. Lady Peace stands on the shoreline and is supported by maple leaves that are symbolic of Canada, while Canada’s motto, “A MARI USQUE AD MARE” (“From sea to sea”) appears in the sky above, where the sun’s rays break through the rain clouds and form the shape of a maple leaf. The obverse features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.

Special Features:
- NEW design. New for 2025, Canada’s Peace Dollar features a new representation of Lady Peace, the allegorical figure of Peace (“PAX”).
- A different view. The new design pulls back to reveal a more complete portrait of Lady Peace, who appears as a left-facing bust on previous issues. Confident and always looking forward, Lady Peace is surrounded by deeply symbolic imagery that is intended to inspire and uplift.
- A gorgeous mix of frostings. Lady Peace is classically engraved, frosted to perfection and resplendent in a cameo-like finish, which contrasts beautifully with the highly reflective, mirror-like field.
- From (retired) Senior Engraver Susan Taylor. The 2025 Peace Dollar boasts a different reverse design by the same artist as previous iterations: retired RCM Senior Engraver Susan Taylor.
- Pure gold. Your coin has been struck in 1 oz. of 99.99% pure gold, with a highly reflective proof finish that ensures every engraved detail stands out.
- A rare addition. Only 650 coins are available to collectors worldwide.

The coin is encapsulated and presented in a black Royal Canadian Mint-branded clamshell with a black beauty box.
