2024 Australia $1 Perth Mint's 125 Anniversary 1oz. .999 Silver Coin (No Tax)

The Perth Mint opened on June 20, 1899 at the height of the Western Australian gold rush. In celebration of The Perth Mint's 125th anniversary, only 150,000 1 oz silver coins showcasing the kangaroo, kookaburra and koala were struck.

The reverse depicts the koala, kangaroo and kookaburra artfully arranged in a golden wattle, which is Australia's national floral emblem. On a scroll, the years 1899 and 2024 are struck, signifying the 125 years that The Perth Mint has been in operation. The coin's weight and fineness along with the 2024 and the "P125" privy mark complete this design. The obverse illustrates an effigy of His Majesty King Charles III created by Dan Thorne.

The Royal Australian Mint is known for minting superb quality Gold and Silver coins, with limited mintages.
