2023 Canada Two Dollar Gold Plated Silver Proof (No Tax)
Known colloquially as the "twoonie", or "toonie" the Canadian two dollar coin was first introduced in 1996, replacing the $2 bill. Designed by artist Brent Townsend, the twoonie depicts an adult polar bear.
The obverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, and bears the special marking that includes four pearls, symbolizing the four effigies that have graced Canadian coins, as well as the double date of her reign.
