2023 Canada Queen Elizabeth II Collector's Edition Coin Set. These coins are non-circulating and will not be found in your change.
Exceptionally for 2023, this set is a rare opportunity to see the classic Canadian coin designs you know and love, stamped with this year’s date (“2023”) in a non-circulation version. As the Royal Canadian Mint focuses their attention on commemorating the reign of Queen Elizabeth II (1952-2022), the Mint will not be issuing any 2023-dated Canadian circulation coins featuring both the traditional reverse designs and an obverse featuring Queen Elizabeth II. Instead, the Mint struck a limited collector’s edition for each of the six Canadian coin denominations ($2, $1, 50¢, 25¢, 10¢, 5¢), and you get one of each in this special set.
These six 2023-dated coins are non-circulation coins: they are collector exclusives that are not intended for circulation. Packaged in a royal purple folder that pays tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, these extraordinary collectibles form an ideal set for those who collect Canada’s coins from year to year, as we mark the end of a reign—and the end of an era in Canadian coins.

These are non-circulation coins, meaning they are legal tender but not intended for general circulation.
