2022 Old Generation Canada Two Dollar Specimen
Known colloquially as the "twoonie", the Canadian Canada Two Dollar coin was first introduced in 1996, replacing the Canada Two Dollar bill. Designed by artist Brent Townsend, the twoonie depicts an adult polar bear.
The 2022 Older Generation Canada Two Dollar Specimen coin's reverse features the traditional Polar Bear design implemented in 1996. The obverse of this coin depicts the new effigy (uncrowned) portrait of Queen Elizabeth.
This coin was carefully removed from the 2022 Conservation Stories: Swift Fox Specimen Set, and is available to you as an individual coin.
