The reverse design was created by artist Luc Normandin and comes with a traditional image of young sugar maple leaves (Acer saccharum) on a twig.

• The first hologram set of "five nines." All four coins are crafted from 99.999% pure gold and each one features a full hologram on its reverse.
• Edge-to-edge hologram. When the coin is tilted from side to side, the holographic colour shift adds realistic relief and shine to the leaves.
• A dynamic arrangement. Most of our maple leaf designs feature the mature leaves of summer, but not this arrangement — these younger leaves boast more textural details, which easily stand out in the hologram image.
