The year 2013 marks the 60th anniversary of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. To commemorate this special occasion, the Royal Canadian Mint is proud to present this coin that celebrates Her Majesty.

This coloured cupronickel coin has a diameter of 35 millimeters. The reverse image features a detail from Canadian artist Phil Richards' 2012 official portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in celebration of Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee. The reverse features the engraved word 'CANADA,' the date '2013,' and the face value of '25 CENTS.' The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
