In 2007 the Royal Canadian Mint released the first coins carrying the new circle-M logo. This new design had the previous composition mark “P” removed. During this year, two designs of dies were used to strike the circulation ten-cent pieces. The difference in designs lay with the numeral 7. One had a straight staff, and the other was curved.
