2005 Canada Regular Loon Dollar Original Roll of 25Pcs (Paper or Plastic Wrap)
In 1987, the Government of Canada replaced the $1 banknote with a $1 coin. The changes in the coins were drastic compared to the note and the reverse Voyager design was replaced by the image of the Canadian Loon. This was eventually nicknamed by many Canadians as the “Loonie.”
This 2005 Regular Loon Dollar Original Roll contain 25 pieces of Loonies. Each dollar coin features a design by Robert R. Carmichael that depicts a common loon swimming against a Canadian shield. The obverse design features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II which was created by Susanna Blunt, the creator of the iconic portrait of Prince Edward at the Buckingham Palace.
