2000 Ingenuity - February Commemorative 25-Cents Original Roll
As part of the new millennium celebrations, the Canadian government held a two-year circulating commemorative program, conducted in two parts: one in 1999 and another one in 2000. Each program released 1 coin each month which came with a unique design created from a contest open to all Canadians. This 2000 Ingenuity February 25-Cent Original Roll contains coins designed by John Jaciw. The coin features a model society, represented by prosperous farms, innovative cities, rapid and safe transportation and an eye toward space. It is surrounded with the bilingual inscriptions "CANADA" and "INGENUITY 2000 INGÉNIOSITÉ". Each roll contains 40 Royal Canadian Mint issued 25-cent coins for circulation.
