2000 Harmony - June Commemorative 25-Cents Original Roll
As part of the new millennium celebrations, the Canadian government held a two-year circulating commemorative program, conducted in two parts: one in 1999 and another one in 2000. Each program released 1 coin each month which came with a unique design created from a contest open to all Canadians. This 2000 Harmony June 25-Cent Original Roll contains coins designed by Haver Demirer. The coin features a maple leaf, made into a symbol of how people can live together in peace and unity. It is surrounded with the bilingual inscriptions "CANADA" and "HARMONY 2000 HARMONIE". Each roll contains 40 Royal Canadian Mint issued 25-cent coins for circulation.
