1999 August Commemorative 25-Cents Original Roll
To celebrate the new millennium, the Royal Canadian Mint created a two-year circulating program that was conducted in two parts; one in 1999 and one in 2000. This commemorative program included 12 quarters per year, each featuring a unique image chosen from a design competition. For the first year, all designs were to represent Canada’s past. In the year 2000, all coins were representative of Canada’s dreams for a new millennium.
This 25-Cent 1999 Canada Original Roll contains 40 pieces of the coin created for the month of August. The coin featured a design depicting the pioneers who travelled to Canada from other countries for new beginnings and prosperity. This roll will add history to any Canadian collection.
