The Bluenose schooner is a celebrated racing vessel that traces its roots from Nova Scotia. However, it also made a name for itself as being an exceptional fishing vessel that built the reputation of the Grand Banks fishery, an international fishing ground in Canada's Newfoundland island. It achieved immortality when artist Emanuel Hahn's 1937 Bluenose schooner design made it into the Canadian 10-cent coin to symbolize the country's exceptional fishing industry and the maritime skills of its citizens. This design is complemented by an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse side that's created by Dora de Pedery-Hunt. Pay tribute to the Bluenose schooner and its significance to Canada with this 1997 Canada 10-Cent Original Wrapped Roll of 50 Pieces. Made from 92.5% pure silver, it is a welcome addition to your collection.
