1994 Canada Remembrance Commemorative Limited Edition Proof Double Dollar Set (Red Cover)
The Royal Canadian Mint is proud to present the Special Edition 1994 Proof Set. This set is unique because the standard Loon Dollar found in the traditional Proof Set has been replaced by the 1994 Remembrance Proof Dollar. It is the only set which includes both the 1994 Commemorative Silver Dollar, and the Remembrance Dollar.
The Remembrance Dollar, depicting the National War Memorial, honours all Canadians who served their country in time of war. The Memorial, created by sculptor Vernon March, stands majestically in Confederation Square in Ottawa, Canada.
The Commemorative Silver Dollar marks the 25th anniversary of the last Royal Canadian Mounted Police Northern Dog Team Patrol. The design on the reverse of the coin, by Canadian artist Ian D. Sparkes, portrays an RCMP officer on a sled leading a team of Siberian Huskies.
Set comes in a Burgundy case with white satin interior.
