1974 Canada 5-cents Original Roll of 40 pcs
The beaver is an icon in Canada, both as a cultural heritage and a commodity. In fact, hundreds of years ago, the Hurons, a tribe in the north shore of Ontario, honoured the mammal by making them their totem. Also, native people utilized the beaver emblem to manifest their treaties with the first colonies. On top of these, the semi-aquatic mammal appeared in Quebec City's heraldic bearings and Canada's first stamp.

Later on, the beaver design made it to the 5-cent coin in 1937, with the first design made by Canadian artist G.E. Kruger Gray that's complemented by an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II when she was 39 years old.
Commemorate the beaver and its momentous entry to the 5-cent coin with this Original Roll of 5-cents that was released in 1974 and includes 40 pieces.
