1962 Canada 5-cent Original Roll of 40 pcs
As an icon in Canada, the beaver has added to both as a cultural heritage and a commodity. In fact, hundreds of years ago, the Hurons, a tribe in the north shore of Ontario, honoured the mammal by making them their totem. Also, native people utilized the beaver emblem to manifest their treaties with the first colonies. Later on, the beaver design made it to the 5-cent coin. And this 5-cent coin continued the tradition of the beaver and it comes with an image of the semi aquatic creature rising out of the water. It is complemented by an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This design of Her Majesty was first released in 1953, but it was changed later that year and underwent re-engraving to fix the hair and the shoulder. Commemorate the beaver and its entry to the 5-cent coin with this 1962 Canada 5-Cent Original Roll of 40 Pcs.
