2002 is a momentous year for Canada, it is the 135th anniversary of the Confederation and the jubilee year (50 years) of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the throne. These 25-cent coins celebrate this important Canada day with a design on the reverse created by Judith Chartier and Stan Witten. The image features small human figures supporting a large maple leaf celebrating the Golden Jubilee on Canada day. The obverse design comes with an image of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at 64 years old, wearing her new crown. It is important to note also that it is the first effigy that was designed by a Canadian, Dora de Pédery-Hunt. Each roll contains 40 Royal Canadian Mint issued 2002 Canadian 25-Cent Canada Day Queen's Jubilee quarter coins in unopened original condition.
