One of 5,000 restrike medals. Measures 76.25mm across; weighs about 252 grams. A very nice design, originally by the famous Wyons. Has toning, similar in extent to that on the example pictured. Outer sleeve has light wear. Includes certificate pamphlet from the Canadian Heritage Mint:
This certifies that the enclosed bronze medal is a limited edition restrike of the 1876 Indian Treaty Chief's Medal first issued shortly after Canada's Confederation. The medal has been struck from expertly re-cut dies on the occasion of Canada's 150th Anniversary of Confederation.
